Wonderful cottage! Beautifully decorated with a particularly gorgeous table and floor and charming pictures. Spacious and had everything we needed. Well heated and good shower. The Christmas tree was lovely too and made our family meet-up feel extra festive. The area felt safe and peaceful and we went to a great restaurant just across the road.

We enjoyed a fabulous 2 days at Saville house. It was the perfect place to use for a family get together. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and really thoughtfully provisioned. My 3 yr old granddaughter loved playing in the river and the playground at a pub within easy walking distance. We will definitely be coming back 😊

The house is warm, cosy, and has a real home-from-home feel. Loads of books, toys and Sherwood Forest is a short drive away. Thank you to Darren and family for helpful recommendations, you were a pleasure to communicate with.

We had a fantastic stay. The house is beautiful and the location is lovely. It is a perfect home for a group of friends. The kitchen is well kitted out with everything you would need. There are great restaurant close by and fantastic walks.

Excellent property with everything we could possibly need for a cosy few days away. The kitchen was well stocked and the kids toys were a popular added bonus. Great location, close to a fish and chip shop, supermarkets and many lovely walks.

What a great place. From the second we booked and we were sent friendly, helpful messages and information that would enhance our stay we knew we’d booked the right place. It was set up perfectly for us with a high chair and cot too. Just faultless. A huge thanks to Daren and the team for such an easy and welcoming stay!

Superb base for exploring Sherwood. House nice and cosy. Beds very comfortable! Well catered for: tea, coffee, milk, washing up liquid, all the basics. Kitchen well stocked. Great value for money. Would stay again ☺️

We loved the cozy cottage and it was perfect for travelling with our autistic son who needed a home from home base. We were all comfortable as a family of five travelling with three young children. We appreciated the baby gate at the top of stairs and the beds were all made up beautifully and communication was 10/10.

It was wonderful to walk into this beautifully decorated cottage. There is a warm, cosy, quaint living room yet spacious kitchen and dining space, which worked perfectly. There was absolutely everything we needed, and excellent communication with the hosts, which made a very easy comfortable stay. We were delighted with the tasteful festive decorations, and had a wonderful Christmas day. Sherwood Forest is a brief drive away and there is the peace and quietness of a small village, whilst also a few minutes drive to big shops and conveniences. Brilliant location, fantastic home, in every way, and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Parking is tight (as was explained and with photos, so this was expected), but manageable with confidence in your own ability to manoeuvre your car!
